Book Witches is a podcast about books, big ideas, and the women who read like it’s a spiritual practice. Hosted by best friends Ynez and Aleks—yoga teachers who met in training and now live on opposite coasts—we dive into the stories that move us: from fiction and philosophy to memoir, myth, and everything in between.
We read widely, think deeply, and laugh a lot. The name Book Witches is a nod to the witchy woman archetype: curious, intuitive, a little unruly, and always up for a good story.

We’re Ynez and Aleks — friends, readers, spiritual seekers, and co-hosts of the Book Witches podcast.
What started as a shared love of books and a deep belief in storytelling as a tool for healing and change turned into a podcast, a bookstore, and a space for the sacred, the silly, and the slightly unhinged. We care about Truth, Beauty, Freedom, and Love, and we believe books are portals to these Bohemian ideals.
Ynez is a visual artist and lifelong nonconformist with a bold sense of style and a deep love for the earth. Aleks is a writer, Ayurvedic practitioner, and yoga teacher who’s never met a good metaphor she didn’t want to unpack.
Together, we bring curiosity, care, and chaos to every episode. Whether we’re talking feminism, mysticism, fiction, or the mess of being human...we’re glad you’re here!
